Jan 06, 2010How to write a logon.denied.inc
Has anyone created a custom logon.denied.inc? If so, do you know how to you pass the text from the logon denied message field that is entered in the pre-logon sequence?
To explain my problem: when users fail our pre-logon sequence, we present them with the standard Logon Denied Page, but with a message that depends on why they failed, e.g. if they have no AV, we tell them in the "Message for user" field of the Logon Denied Page that that's why they were denied. Now, we have had to create a custom right.inc for our logon page, to display a terms of use statement without the need for ActiveX, and I've installed this using WebDAV. However, this ToU is also displayed when a user fails the pre-logon sequence, and the Message to User text in the logon denied page is now so crunched up on the left of the screen that it is unreadable.
I think what I need to do is create a custom logon.denied.inc, that will be wide enough to display the Message for User text readably, but I don't know where to begin. Presumably that text is in a variable, and probably all I need to know is that variable name.
Or is there another better way to achieve my purpose?
TIA

You can add a href for a logon denied, it displays a link for the user to click on. - Mike_61719

If you're just looking for the variable, you would have to ask F5 support im afraid , as I havent used it before.
