How to migrate from F5 BIG-IP i2800 to r2800
Hi, I am currently planning a migration from an i2800 device running BIG-IP 17.1.x to an r2800 platform. From what I’ve gathered in community discussions, the F5 Journeys tool is commonly recommended for such iSeries to rSeries migrations.
However, if this tool is not available in my environment, may I ask if migration is still feasible? And if so, could you please advise on the best alternative method to proceed?

Yes it is feasible.
The easiest option is deploying rseries as members of the current cluster and let them sync the configuration.
During a MW you can failover to a rseries node and check your services.
If everything is ok you can start decommissioning iseries nodes.
The only drawback is the need of new self IPs and maybe new firewall rules for them.
