I heard the APM module allows to limit the number of concurrent sessions from a client on a VS, but is there any other mean to do that ?

Can anyone tell me how to limit session on virtual server .
In addition , what is the session and connection limit in F5 LTM and which scenario , session and connection limit is applicable .
One of my client requirement is to limit the connection after 800 session . Is it possible using F5 LTM .Need your valuable comments on this.
