how to install hotfix
I have version 11.4.1 installed in HA Pair active and standby. I want to install hotfix5 and I have never installed hotfix before. I have uploaded in hotfix to hotfix images in GUI.
Now what would be the next step to install it? I will take a down time and will do on both at once. Will I need to configure Device group again or they will be in syn.
Steps.
-
import hotfix in hotfix image.
-
install image on HD1.2 which is inactive.
-
Take UCS back file
-
Switch to HD1.2
5.import UCS file and run it.

No need to do anything with the Device Group. You will always install a HF to an inactive volume. Usually you'll have the base image installed onto this inactive volume. If you haven't BUT the image file is in the images list (in the cli shared/images) then by installing a HF it will install the image for you too.
You won't need to restore from a UCS file (and download it), although it's always good practice to take one of course. When you activate the new volume you can migrate the current config.
