How to enable 'expose route domains' flag via iControl?

I currently have a script that builds our GTM config via a series of iControl calls. Part of this is creating LTM server objects and enabling virtual server discovery. This is sufficient in our environments that don't use route domains.

However, in our environments that do use route domains, I also need to enable the 'Expose route domains' flag which is disabled by default. Is there a way to do this via the iControl interface?

In the SOAP API, I don't see a method to set that flag. I think I can work around it by issuing a REST call to invoke a tmsh command to set the flag, just wondering if there was a cleaner way.
