CirrocumulusMike, i'm sure it used to be a check button. Anyway, see Application Security - Security Policies - Policies Summary. Under Policy Details locate the security policy and then on the right hand side there's a column called "real traffic policy builder". Click on the mode hyperlink to modify from automatic to manual, for example.
