There isn't a supported method for automatically migrating the configuration from one platform or version to a differing platform or version. Which version is the 5100 running? How many load balancing objects do you have in the configuration? If it's a small configuration, you might consider just doing it by hand. Else, if it's a large configuration, if possible, you should upgrade the 5100 to the same version the 6900 is running, manually configure the 6900's base network and then copy the 5100's bigip.conf to the 6900 and load the config there. The bigip.conf doesn't have the full configuration, but does get the shared, load balancing config. Then check any errors in the 'b load' output and manually tweak the bigip.conf as needed.

Thank you very for your reply
The version on 5100d is 9.3.1 and on the 6900 is 9.4.7.
Also checked the comptablity list and we cannot downgrade the version to 9.3 on 9600 as it is not compatible, so i have to copy teh config on 9.4.7 only.
Do u sugest i save the config to ucs archive and restore the same file on 6900 for the config to be copied?????
Thanks in advance

Hi Raj,
You can upgrade the 5100 to 9.4.7 (Click here) and then copy the bigip.conf using SCP to the 6900. I would not bother trying to load a UCS file from the 5100 onto the 6900. If it works at all, you'll get so many errors it will probably leave the 6900 in a questionable state.
