How to control pool node availability externally

Hello, I'm new with F5 load balancers, please help me to find answer on this question: Is it possible (and how using iControl) to manage pool node statuses?

For example I have external monitor tool that is supposed to control pool nodes availability and load ratio. So I want to manage node availability (node is on,off, or on maintenance) externally. Will appreaciate any help\docs\link on this topic.
