How to change secure connectivity profile in an iRule?

The more I think about it I can't help but wonder why a secure connectivity profile is not an assignable resource for an access policy instead of being attached to a virtual server.

In the current use case I would prefer to use a single virtual server and access policy to offer several landings for APM network access resources. Based on the landing URI I would like to be able to tell the BigIP Edge Client whether or not to use the cached Windows logon credentials to log on, via the connectivity profile settings.
