How many virtual servers can be applied to a single ASM policy?

Is there a limit to the number of Virtual Servers that can be applied to a single ASM policy? We have started using iRules to direct the traffic to different pools in order to save on VIP addresses....

    There aren't any real limits on how many VIPs you can apply a policy to.

     

    Eventually, you can start to max out system resources etc. but that depends on the amount of traffic you have.

Also, if you're running version 11.4 or later, you associate one or more ASM policies with a virtual server via a Local Traffic Policy. It can be a bit more complicated to implement, but is much more efficient than the equivalent iRule.
