How host memory allocate to a guest
Hi my friends!
I need your help,pls.
DescriptionOne vipron with a blade 2100 and deploy some guests.in order to allocate more memory resources to per guest,i add another blade 2100.
QuestionsHow host memory allocate to a guest when insert total two blde2100?Whether the memory allocation twice as much as that only has one blade 2100?
Formula for host memory allocation to a guestYou can use a formula to confirm that the cores you plan to allocate to a specific guest are sufficient, given the guest's total memory requirements:
(total_GB_memory_per_blade - 3 GB) x (cores_per_slot_per_guest / total_cores_per_blade) = amount of guest memory allocation from host

Guest memory is allocated automatically according to the number of vCPU cores you dedicate to a guest. You cannot configure memory directly. The formula above reflects this. So, if you know how much memory is needed for your guest, you can use this formula to calculate the number of vCPUs you will need to assign to this guest in order to gat that ammount of memory.

Hi mate,
The memory allocation is based on the cores you have assigned to the guests. Lets say, if you have assigned 2 cores for the guest and the total number of cores are 8. Considering the total blade memory is 16 GB, then the guest would get 3.25GB memory allocated.
If you want to increase the memory, add more cores in the guests. This can be increased adding an additional blade or use the existing cores based on availability. It can be increased like 2, 4, 8, 10.
So if you add another blade with 16 GB memory and add 8 cores for the guest and the total core is 16, then your guest will be allocated 14.5 GB memory.
Hope this helps.
