Hostname on HTTP monitor

Hi experts, I have a use case to load-balance multiple sites on IIS servers having different hostnames, but listening on the same tcp port-80. Is it possible to specify a specific hostname on the GET send string in the HTTP monitor settings?

  • Heya,

You certainly can specify a hostname in a http health monitor's request e.g.

    GET / HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: abc.xyz.com\r\nConnection: Close\r\n\r\n
