Host memory utilisation is high

Hi,

 

We have a Big-ip 8900 where i see high host memory utilisation.

 

TMM:

 

memory (total, used) = (13.51G, 248.4M)

 

Host information:

 

memory (total, used) = (3.667G, 3.392G)

 

It seems to be normal, the system is running for a long time with no problems.

 

Can somebody explain why this is so high?

 

We keep getting messages about this on our monitoring system.

    I'd make a support case. F5 basically told me that it wasn't an issue on my 6900s or 8900s. I quickly learned not to monitor that memory utilization, but Traffic Management memory utilization instead. Unix boxes are tough to monitor in this case.
