Health monitor issue: (analyze_pings) : visit unknown?

Hello,

 

Interesting issue with monitors. When enabling monitor logging I see the output below:

 

(analyze_pings) : visit unknown. blah blah blah

 

the F5 can ping the server (a VM server) with no issue. when accessing the VIP with all traffic going to the one VM server the access / application works. The server is constantly in a blue state and non-stop clocking in the health monnitors page for the server.

 

The network is FEX 2k's connected to VPC pair of Nexus 5672UP's.

 

I have performed numerous tcpdumps and connected a Fluke Clearsight to the 5K switch. Everything looks normal.

 

Running LTM 11.6.1 HF 1. in HA pair. There are hundreds of VIP's /pools and so far the only common denominator is VM servers. I suggested to the server owners to put all the VM's on the same ESX host to try to isolate the issue but awaiting an answer.
