HA : SNMP Question
Hello everyone
We have 2 BIG IP 1600's in HA (Active/Standby mode) , we configurd SNMP on both of them to received all the traps from F5.
Recently we found that our SNMP manager is getting same trap from both primary and secondary devices .
Example : Pool member is down
The above kind of alerts we are getting from both primary and secondary , i wanted to check if that's how it works or we need to disable traps on secondary device.
Any suggestions are welcome .
Thank you Murali

This is expected, both devices monitor Pool Members and Nodes continuously, regardless of whether they are active or standby. Where the standby is concerned, this is necessary as there's no way of telling when a standby might become active.
