GTM/DNS monitor via SWG proxy

Hi,

Ok, so we have two data centers with who has SWG explicit proxy. The proxys work just fine on their own, but I would like to add a GTM/DNS to point the users to one (or the other) data center.

The problem that I run in to is monitoring the proxy function. Since the virtual servers in the SWG doesn't have any monitoring and always remain in the unknown state, I need to add it myself. What I would like to do is create a monitor on the GTM/DNS to access an external website via the proxy, but I don't know how to create this.

The proxy uses NTLM authentication, and I have a service account that will grant access through the proxy.

But the question is, how do I build a monitor of this??

Regards //A

Just to answer my own question... An external monitor with curl does just the trick.. Got a bit of help with it and it works like a charm! Now I am monitoring a number of external sites trough the proxy to see if it passes traffic.
