GTM reports an Virtual server state as unknown , eventhough the pool members behind the VIP on the LTM are up

GTM shows the availability of the pool to be unknown and displays checking as the Reason for the Availability status.

 

However,The pool members behind this VIP on the LTM are up.

 

Please let me know what exactly i must be checking inorder to identify the failure . Thanks

    Is your GTM able to talk to your LTM over iQuery? Run this from bash shell and look for established connections on port 4353 between GTM and LTM:

     

    netstat -an | grep 4353

     

    Also, the GTM server object that corresponds to your LTM should be green. Is it?

    That's right Cory, when I saw it noticed the pool was wrongly created the LTM was not mapped to BIG IP server object and i totally failed to notice that at the first place.. now that we have the corrections made on the config utility the problem was resolved.
