GTM License: iRule for DNS Flood protection

Hi Team,

 

We have created irule made to protect DNS Flood protection. But while saving the iRule it is asking for license which prevents the iRule from saving.

 

Why we need GTM license before creating iRule for DNS protection. Need urgent assistance as we have to ask customer to purchase the GTM license.

    What is the actual iRule? If it is using any DNS-related command then you will indeed need a GTM license.

    You can't use this particular iRule without a GTM license. DNS_REQUEST event as well as DNS::question command are GTM-specific.
