GTM and Oracle

Get the following arquitecture: GTM that has to balance the traffic between 2 different locations (LTM1 and LTM2). The virtualserver of each LTM, and taking into account Oracle that needs the connections never end, is (with different IPs, of course, for each LTM): virtual VS_172.16.177.88_1521 { translate service disable ip forward destination 172.16.177.88:1521 mask 255.255.255.252 ip protocol 6 profiles idle_indefinite_oracle {} } profile fastL4 idle_indefinite_oracle { defaults from fastL4 reset on timeout disable idle timeout indefinite tcp handshake timeout indefinite mss override 0 }

The Oracle BD has 4 listeners for each location (172.16.177.88/252 , 172.31.11.88/252) .Can you tell me which GTM configuration I must do, please? Another question: is the GTM configuration different if you balance Oracle or not? I mean, has Oracle a special GTM configuration? Thx a lot.

  • GTM is just for the dns resolution. If the oracle need persistence, you could enable persistence method on wideip level.
