GTM- Private IP to Public IP Translation

Hello Everyone.

 

 

Trying to set up a GTM with two sites.

 

 

On site I have 2 Virtual Servers that are Placed on a Link Controller, 1 Virtual per Link and the IP addresses are Publicly Routeable. On the Second Site the Virtual Server ressides on a LTM that is within the Internal Network so the Virtual Server has a Private Address.

 

 

I have set up two Pools

 

 

Pool 1: Virtual Server 1 (Public Address)

 

Virtual Server 2 (Public Address)

 

 

Pool 2: Virtual Server 1 (Private Address)with translation to a Public Address

 

 

I have set up the wideip and linked the two above pools to the Wide IP.

 

 

My problem occurs when GTM is resolving for Pool 2 since it resolves the Private IP Address and not the Translation Address (Public IP).

 

 

I have double checked the Virtual Server and made sure that the Public IP Address is in the Translation Box but it still resolves the Private IP addres..

 

 

I have looked at the documentation but there are no specifics on getting the Translation to work.

    Looks like you have the pool 2 definition backwards. The private IP should be in the Translation box (think of it as inbound instead of outbound).

    I am trying to work through the same problem. As GTM is in DMZ running priv ip.

     

    Should i define Vs with Priv IP or Define vs in Public ip on LTM?

     

     

    GTM picks it up as its running on same box.

     

    Then on GTM server put tranalation to Priv IP or public ip.

     

    What i get from comments above is

     

    define vs in public ip & when gtm picks ip vs in Gtm>servers then in tranaltion put priv ip.

     

    If this is the case how can i allow all services or custom services to this server.
