GTM - ISP IP Address Change Challenge
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the reply, actually its not the real IP, the second and first octet was changed, somewhat like this. 122.53.x.x
Here's a diagram for better understanding. The red IP's are the one being changed, we enforced load balancing on the link that if ISP1 or ISP3 is down ISP2 will take over. For this what we have in mind is just to change all the IP's in the GTM config that will be hit, which is specifically the listener and the link.
For the LTM part I wont have problem regarding the IP address change, the only problem would be its impact on the two GTM. Btw, the DR site has also the same setup only that the GTM has 1 internet link. Another problem is once we do the change for both GTM and LTM tru CLI, how will the change can take effect on the other GTM (what I mean here is for the discovery since we already have a working config before wherein the GTM can see all the config and IP's of the other GTM and its corresponding LTM).
Do you know a way on how we will proceed? what to change first and for the discovery how will we do it? Which command would I issue first is it the gtm_add or bigip_add? And on what appliance is it on the DR site or on the GTM that will have a change? Also, there are instance wherein the config of the other device will be lost when we do the gtm_add and bigip_add command. Hope we wont encounter it and hope we could know as to which device we will use the command, is it on the GTM that has a change of IP or on the GTM that wont be changing anything, likewise the same goes for the LTM part. Or are there commands we wont be using for GTM or LTM for the discovery one changes have been made.
