F5 XC and Azure FrontDoor
I am confused who sends traffic to whom?
Frond Door to XC or XC to Frond Door?
Client -> FD -> XC -> Origin

Ok about Certificate, you have to use a new domain or subdomain in XC for which you will have a valid certificate in order Front Door to be able to send traffic to.
For clients identification indeed you need CDN to inject a header. But as of course this header might not be present in apps not using CDN, you have to use different load balancers.- JaZyJun 17, 2025
Cirrus
Injeyan_Kostas do you have some example of configuration where it works? Because I have new domain with valid certificate, for example "connect-from-fd.mydomain". I can connect from FD to the "connect-from-fd.mydomain" but such domain on LB has no routes. Purpose is only to establish connection. When application is requested it's just reports:
Your support ID is suportID
Error 421 - Misdirected Request
What is also strange I cannot find any log on LB related to this event so cannot check how requests looks like.I also tried to create route to forward traffic when host header is "connect-from-fd.mydomain" and overwrite host header to static value and route it to the correct origin but it result to same error with response code 421. And again no logs available.

You should configure a route for this domain to your origin server.
Of course you can rewite host header if you origin server needs.
