F5 LTM as gateway for servers is not working in layer-2

hello all

 

I need your valuable help to resolve one of our ongoing issue with F5 LTM i5800.

 

Topology: We have Tier3 architecture wherein all VLANs are span across multiple switches in L2 switches. All these switches are connected to Distribution switches as L2 trunk.

 

And distribution switches are hosting the default gateways for all respective VLANs.

 

Two F5 LTM connected to L2 switches as trunk.

 

Both F5 LTM configured as HA in two different data centers and they are connected to L2 switches.

 

F5 LTM i5800 having issues for servers point to F5 as their Gateway.

 

We need your help to resolve this ongoing with F5 LTM.

    same setup was working absolutely fine with BrocadeserverIron ADX 1000, I don't understand why it is not working on F5, though configured layer2 forwarding on f5, may be we did not configured correctly.

     

    I would like to highlight that during our testing F5 was owning server IP address and was advertising it in ARP table because of which server was unable to come online , we need to make sure that should never happen again.

     

    Please help me to resolve this problem.
