Wanted to know the difference in role of a self-ip between an LTM and a GTM.
In an LTM, self-ip is used as a gateway to send traffic to a network based on the subnet mask. And for a network to be use...
1) Self-ip is required for iQuery connections
2) BIND is listening on self-ip. If your dns listener does not use self-ip you will not be able to use BIND if required.
3) Self-ip is used for GTM related monitors
