F5 Edge Big IP Client - Battery Consumption

When connected to the VPN on an Apple iPhone, it seems to have a severe drain on the battery. We've turned off the normal power hungry services, but the consumption remains. In roughly 45 minutes of VPN use, the battery is down 9%. Are there others experiencing this and how have you remedied it?

  • I noticed the same on iPhone and iPad. You can change your policy to set On Demande VPN SSL. Thus, in the secure connectivity profile you can set a disconnect timeout.

It may help to save battery :)
