I do not know SolarWinds NPM, do they have some integration with BIG-IP? If not then they'll likely need advanced shell access to initiate SFTP.

 

Definitely go for the UCS. I'm pretty sure you'll miss out on certificates and a lot of ASM/non-ltm-modules if you make do with CLI output. You can create a script to create a new archive every evening. Then add it to /shared and create a link to it in cron.daily
