F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition 200Mbps Best Upgrade to latest 11.6 version
Hello, I was hoping to get information on how to upgrade my f5 version from the current (BIG-IP 11.5.1 Build 0.4.110 Engineering Hotfix) to the latest 11.6.1 image. I have downloaded it from your website and have it actively on the f5 device. There is an issue and i believe its because its a AMI (Virtual instance) because it won't let me upgrade it with out another partition/hard drive. Is there any information on how to upgrade a AWS AMI image of f5?

I am looking into this process as well, and I think the issue see is there is only a single partition on the VE edition. I have ample hard space available, just need another partition to install the image on.

Ran this command "install sys software image BIGIP-11.5.1.0.0.110.iso volume HD1.2 create-volume" with an 11.6.0 image ( ignore the image name in the command ) and got the image to install. A switchboot later and the F5 has lots of issues, I am able to still login only with the root key issued on AMI build and get the following logs: 01070356:3: Load balancing feature not licensed. Unexpected Error: Loading configuration process failed. F5 is a AWS Pay as you Go license.... - danielpenna_196

Went back to 11.5.1, re-activated license via webportal, tried 11.6.0 again, still same issue, went back to 11.5.1 and AMI is even more borked with MCP constantly restarting.. Thankfully I have a UCS backup so will rebuild....with 11.6.0 image..
