F5 BIG-IP and NSX Integration

Hi,   in order to Integrate F5 BIG-IP into NSX, I am forced to use iWorkflow (AKA BIG-IQ)?   Or it is not a requirement? Just with F5 VE I can convert an NSX ESG LB into an F5 LB VE?   Thank...
