Exchange 2016 iapp Outlook Anywhere fails

There are several threads on this with no response. Is the Exchange 2016 iapp supported and considered the preferred method for implementing APM with Exchange 2016? Is APM supported with Exchange 2016?

I have the iapp deployed, autodiscover connections fail. I have tried adding the irules, as suggested in the deployment guide, still fails.
