"Error executing shell command" when doing a ConfigSync

Hi, all. I've got a pair of Big-IP LTM 6800s in Active/Standby mode. These units have been able to successfully sync in the past, but now when I try to sync from the active to the standby, I'm getting an "error executing shell command" message in the GUI.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

  • jerchul, try doing it from your LTM shell on the active do:

    b config sync

I trust commandline more than Gui any day, one other reason is that fact that my gui routes through an upstream proxy to LTM.

its probably a problem with connecting , contact F5 support

  • Thanks, jquadri. I tried that, and received the same error message. I've opened a ticket with F5, since this active unit has changes to be synched, so I don't want to just reboot the unit. (I'm just two weeks into this job, so I'm not sure what changes were made to the active unit before I made my changes yesterday.)
