Encrypted Cookie Persistence Profile

This seems like the right place to post this I hope. I've done quite a bit of poking around on this issue, but haven't found what I need.

 

 

I want to persist using basic cookie persistence, but I need to encrypt the cookie. There are many iRule posts on encrypting a cookie, but I can't seem to tie it all together in my env or in the forum.

 

 

My expectation was to use a Universal persistence profile to persist the cookie once encrypted, but that throws an error of "Persistence mode (Cookie) called out in rule (EncryptCookieXXXXX) requires a corresponding persistence profile for virtual server " if I attempt to simply persist the cookie in the iRule of the universal profile.

 

 

So what is the proper method for setting up a cookie-based persistence model where you must encrypt the cookie?
