EM stats collections

Hi, what benefit you have for enabling statistics collection on the enterprise manager? The individual hardware f5 devices are themselves very good at reporting past and current performance and stats so what advantage does it take to have them enabled on the EM rather than it`s just a centralized point for it. ?
