Jun 10, 2008Does a Link Controller must have global IP addresses for wide IP?
I think each virtual server placed in wide IP must have a global IP address within the same subnet of "Router Address" setting of a corresponded link. Or, is it possible to put Link Controller on the private IP address space (does not have any global IP address) ?

Hi Taro,
If by "global" you mean publically routable, then typically yes Link Controller must have routable IP's as the virtual servers. It must become the authoritative DNS server for the domains you wish to load balance (or fail over) across links, so unless all your clients can resolve and route to private IP's that you host, private IP's won't work.
