DNS VIEW
I need to create DNS views which return different A records depending on which machine quieries it. for example: in active directory (authoratative DNS) hostA.domain.com has an A record of 10.10.10.10. On my GTM I created a view and applied an ACL within the view I created a zone of hostA.domain.com with an A record of 10.10.10.11. In order to get this to work I had to move this view to 0 and the external view to 1.
That works well but I have to do the same thing for another record. What makes this tricky is that the ACL for this view must be different and these clients can not get the record from the other view. I tried doing the same thing by by creating a view with a single zone with the name of the A record I am trying to override. My challenge is that it wont work unless I change it to 0 but by doing so the other view stops working.
Is there another solution I am overlooking? I have considered using WIPs but my understanding is I would need to put a cname in DNS which points to the wideip.domain.com zone.
