NimbostratusDNS Question for GTM Wide IP
Hi,
I have a GTM BIGIP with two LTM's behind the GTM with a firewall between (Firewall is doing NAT Translation - Public IP on the GTM to Private IP on the LTM. I created a Virtual server on each LTM's (with Private IP) and maually setup the server on the GTM (Translated Public IP to Private) for the virtual servers. On the GTM i setup a pool with both virtual servers and point Wide IP to pool. The GTM is load balancing the virtual servers in the pool fine. the wide ip i used(www.cx.***test.com) the name server is the GTM itself. I need to change A record to www.cx.***city.com and point it to the GTM to load balance the virtual severs but i dont know which IP i can use for A record. i Cannot point it to both virtual servers IP's on the GTM pool since i can only point A record to single IP!!. hope i am making sense. please advise what to do.
francisco_1_162www.cx.***test.com name server is the GTM but www.cx.***city.com is hosted with someone else and i need to get them to point www.cx.***city.com to the GTM so i can load balance the two virtual servers on the GTM but not sure which IP to point www.cx.***city.com to!!!- I'd see if you can get a CNAME record set up instead of an A record for www.cx.***city.com.
If you can, create a new WideIP name on GTM in a subdomain for which is is authoritative, and point the CNAME for www.cx.***city.com at it.
