DNS Forward Zone not working

I am trying to setup the F5 DNS to forward query for sub zone. A Wide IP is configured for and resolves ok. If the F5 receives a query for extranet.example.com I want to forward another nameserver.

In ZoneRunner I have tried creating new zone

Name: extranet.example.com

Type: Forward

Options: forwarders {1.2.3.4; };

In the named Configuration

recursion yes;

Also updated the profile so "Use BIND Server on BIG-IP" is enabled.

However forwarding is not working. Not sure what else I need to configure.

Any help would be welcomed.

    Try this,

     

    Create NS records for subdomain under Zonerunner (eg. extranet.example.com NS abc.ns.example.com)

     

    Post that create a A record under zonerunner (eg. abc.ns.example.com A )
