Difference between ICMP and Gateway ICMP health monitors

Hi!

 

Can someone tell me what the difference is between ICMP and Gateway ICMP except for the fact that ICMP monitor is only used for nodes and Gateway ICMP is only used for pool members?

    i understand technically it is same. there is gateway icmp monitor because icmp monitor does not have port setting, so it can be assigned to pool/pool member.

    ICMP is the used to check the health status of the Node whereas ICMP-GATEWAY is used to check the health Monitors related to Pool.
