Nimbostratusdetect out of sync using checksum?
Is there way to look at say for example a checksum of some sort that I compare on the Active and Standby device to find out if they are out of sync instead of looking at timestamps?

Everything that there is is in the bigdb database under the Configsync key.
$ b db | grep Configsync
I think you are going to be stuck with using times, although there are multiple times you can go by (local config time, local synced time, peer config time).
