Default Session Persistence - None
With session persistence set to the default of None does the F5 not track sessions in any way or is there a default minimum timer that is assumed? How does the F5 keep from load-balancing away from an active session?
Thanks for your time and attention.

Tony

It just sprays traffic to which ever member it feels like. Can be quite bad for websites that have session information on them. In testing we noticed that a client would pull half a website from one server and half from the other.

by default bigip does load balancing per connection (e.g. tcp connection). traffic on the same connection will be sent to the same server. new connection will be loaded balanced to a new server according to load balancing algorithm which Andrew mentioned.
