Datagroup

Can tell whether internal Data group need for below scenario ?

 

Apache web application version 2.0 hosted on servers which behind F5 device. The application is upgraded to version 2.4.

 

URL domain name and path is same but application version is different. If the clients are using existing URL without change will it work ?

    I am not sure why datagroup will come into play for apache version change. Are you leveraging datagroup in iRule ?

    if you just upgrade from apache 2.0 to apache 2.4 i don't see why URL or such would change.

     

    a data group on itself doesn't do anything, you store data to be used for irules for example.

     

    if you need to do rewriting you could look into the proxypass iRule.
