Custom source_addr persistence in an iRule

If I want to set a custom timeout for persistence in an irule for all traffic would I need to include a mask on the persistence line? eg. persist source_addr 7200 vs persist source_addr 255.2...

If I want to set a custom timeout for persistence in an irule for all traffic would I need to include a mask on the persistence line?

 

mask is not needed unless it is not /32.
