Creating WIP/GSLB pools without LTM VIPs

Looking to use F5 only for DNS without having members on LTM VIPs Need two members added at each data center and we should be able to monitor those addresses Tried adding servers directly DNS-->GSL...

    Hi InquisitiveMai ,

    F5 DNS can certainly act as a DNS-only solution, without LTM VIP's. I think in your case you need to add Virtual Servers manually now, too. I.e, you've got DNS -> GSLB -> Server defined (as a Generic Host, right?) and then it needs a Virtual Server with the IP address.

    After this, you should be able to create a GSLB Pool and a Wide IP. Does that make sense? Shoot me a direct message if you need more help.
