Creating LTM-Policies and Rules through Puppet
Hi,
We're looking into using Puppet to manage our F5-LTM environment (BIG IP v11.5). We haven't touched anything yet, just researching.
What I'm missing in the documentation is the part about LTM-Policies. Is it possible to create an LTM-Policies and assign it to a VS by using Puppet? And can you also create Rules within those Policies?
We also use the ASM-module on our BIG IPs. I don't think the current Puppet module supports anything other than LTM, but is it at least possible to assign an existing ASM-Policy to a Rule within an LTM-Policy?
Thanks in advance. Mark

Based on the limited documentation I could find on Puppet's site (here https://puppetlabs.com/blog/managing-f5-big-ip-network-devices-with-puppet), it does not look like Puppet currently supports anything other than LTM. It would definitely be worth approaching them about however. Be aware that if you ask about ASM you should be specific that you mean F5 ASM as they also support Dell ASM, which is not related.
