create a monitor with iControl

Looking at the iControl API, I see a method to create a monitor template, but I don't see anything to create a custom monitor. Am I missing something?     Thanks,     Kent

I want to be able to script the creation of custom http and https monitors. It did not occur to me that create_template method would be what I need.
