Cookie Persistence
Hey,
Is there a way to check if the cookie persistence set on a virtual server working or not. We are seeing issues where the virtual server is not load balancing the traffic its supposed to. This started to happen after we upgraded our f5 from v10.2.4 to v11.5.1. Please let me know if you guys have some kinda information on this.
Thanks

Cookie persistence doesn't create any server side persistence information as all of the affinity information is stored in the cookie. The first thing I'd do is to verify that the BIG-IP does indeed send the persistence cookie and that the client sends it back in each request.

if the cookie is not encrypted. do what Kevin suggested, get the node IP from it. run a packet capture on the node to confirm.

Do you have a OneConnect profile attached? https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/7000/900/sol7964.html. If you don't have a OneConnect profile attached load balancing is only performed per TCP connection rather than per HTTP request.
