Dec 07, 2014Cookie insert persistance last tooo long. How to set timeout.
I have 8 webservers.
User-->https-->F5-->https-->webserver
cookie insert is working good but there is not option of setting timeout. Client waited for 10 minutes, tried after closing the browser but still he remains on the same webserver.
How can I set the timeout in cookie insert method.

- Got it, unchecking the expiration button gives the time option. But can someone tell me that the time I will specify will the for the time user sits idle?

No it's a static timeout value irrespective of idle time. - So if user requests, does his cookie does not get renewed with each new request? What does session cookie expiration?

Good point, something I've overlooked. Thanks - That great so checking the always send cookie and setting the expiration time manually will work fine together.

Session cookie is whilst the browser is open, once closed the cookie is removed from memory - gsharri

When using a cookie expiration time the setting "Always send cookie" will renew the cookie with each response.
