Connection limit
Hello,
I would like to set up a virtual address and apply connection limitation. Can this be done on the virtual server configuration (Connection limit) or via Packet filters? If the connection has Persistence, how can the F5 limit the connections? I cannot find any documentation for such implementation.
thank you.

If you implement connection limits on pool members or virtual servers, it will police the connections. If you are persisted to a virtual server or member that is above its limit, you do not get in. Period. Its first come first serve. The same thing applies to bandwidth limits. It just drops whatever is over. This also increases overhead on the box significantly. Keep that in mind.

is there any documentation for such implementations? So, how else can we implement this kind of policing?
thanks.
