Connection error: ssl_passthru:3778: not SSL (40)
I'm receiving the following errors on my LTM:
tmm3[10956]: 01260009:4: Connection error: ssl_passthru:3778: not SSL (40)
tmm2[10956]: 01260009:4: Connection error: ssl_passthru:3778: not SSL (40)

I really appreciate some help to solve this issue. I have handling this case with F5 support, but it has been so difficult to find some root cause for that error. I receive some information that it would be caused by expired certificates, but all of them have already been excluded.
Thank you.

This error is thrown when non ssl traffic is sent to a Virtual Server that has a clientssl profile on it. In all likelihood it can safely be ignored.

Hi,
How did you find out that virtual server when you get these errors ?

Shri, unfortunately the error doesn't identify the virtual server in question. I suppose you could put a redirect irule on your port 80 virtual servers (creating them if needed) in which case this error would never happen because a plain text inquiry to your virtual server would be redirected to port 443.
