May 16, 2014I don't think Solar Winds will produce a useful backup of an F5. Solar Winds can snatch simple text file backups of routers, switches, etc. but the F5 backups are more complicated. The UCS archive is a tape archive (tar) of all configuration files necessary to resurrect an F5. Solar Winds 'running config' might contain sufficient configuration information to represent all objects defined on an F5 but I have doubts the file would be readily consumed by an F5 to perform a restore.
