Client-side traffic as SSL-encrypted and server-side traffic as SSL encrypted

Hi, Hello All, In one of the requirement from application team the traffic flow should as below:

HTTPS based access from client > LTM VIP with SSL offloading on LB > HTTPS based access to webservers servers with SSL offloading on servers

With regard to the encrypted traffic from the client to the VIP, we have to configure the client SSL profile with SSL offloading on LTM.

Once the client session is decrypted on LTM it has to be encrypted again to use HTTPS based session to the webserver with SSL offloading on web servers.

Could you please guide me on what needs to be done on LTM VIP to achieve the HTTPS based session to the web server with SSL offloading on web servers?

Regards, Thiyagu

The simple answer is to add a server SSL profile onto the VS configurationn. in fact you could look to utilise the default "serverssl" profile first as this usually does the trick out of the box.

See the following article for more info: Overview of the Server SSL profile (11.x - 12.x)
